QV1 Office Building (left).
One of Perth's largest office buildings of 42 levels of open-plan space. The adoption of a highly economical system of five pile-assisted concrete rafts over interbedded sands and clays won national acclaim for Airey Taylor Consulting. The structural design, which featured post tensioned radial beams spanning 14m offered ease and speed of overall construction, and allowed 23 floors to be completed in the first nine months of 1990. The project value was $200 million.

QV1 Office Building was recipient of multiple awards for excellence, including Best Office Building Completed in Australia in 1993 and the ACEA Award of High Commendation for the design of the QV1 Tower Foundations.

This prestigious office building was completed on time and on budget, and was recipient of the B.O.M.A. Award as Best Building Completed in Perth for 1986.

G.I.O. Office Building (left).
Located to the immediate west of London Court, this 13 storey office building was built on time and on budget during a time of intense industrial unrest. The structural response illustrated unusual sensitivity to the realities of the industrial environment. (Architect: Parry & Rosenthal).

The Bird Cameron Building, completed in 1985, utilised fully post-tensioned beams and slabs to achieve column free space on a narrow site. This building was a finalist in the Architectural Awards of Excellence.

Like many successful projects, this building reflects successful interaction and teamwork between all members of the Consultant team.
