RESIDENTIAL

[Single & Multiple
Low Rise] [Multilevel Complexes]
Airey Taylor Consulting contends that all forms of residential design, from residential
complexes to individual houses, require high quality and cost-effective
design. We have successfully applied this criteria to both structural and
civil design elements of:
- Multilevel and low-rise residential
complexes.
- Apartments blocks.
- Luxury single residences
- Innovative applications, like rammed
earth housing.
- Cyclonic housing.
- Damaged housing remediation.
- Housing elements like swimming pools and
landscaping structures.
- Adaptive re-use of existing structures:
conversion of warehouses, cold stores and factories to strata title
and multilevel apartments.
- Condominiums
Award
Winning Residential Design
In both 1998 and 1999 we were responsible for the structural design of
residential projects which earned MBA Awards For Excellence. The
City Lights Apartments and the Goldman Apartments, both architecturally
designed by the Buchan Group, are located in South Perth and represent
superior quality of design and finish in multilevel residential
accommodation. Many other housing projects, including single residences
and unusual applications like rammed earth, have won awards for excellence
and / or innovation.
Durable, Minimal Maintenance Housing
Some projects require additional structural expertise to cope with special
climatic, site or design criteria, like the Baker Residence in
Cottesloe, architecturally designed by Banham & Associates. Severe environments, such as
coastal areas, where the structure is subject to the assault of salt and
wind erosion call for knowledgeable technical responses. Under these
conditions, issues of durability and maintenance minimisation are vital.
Similarly, we are also experienced in the design of high-risk cyclonic
structures which have successfully withstood high cyclonic winds and major
ancillary damage where other structures have been demolished or suffered
serious damage.
